Young Hawaiian Bbq

One of the better Hawaiian BBQs I've tried. The cashier was also very friendly, so I'm not sure what the other reviews are talking about. A lot of these negative reviews are quite sad, as they're complaining about basic aspects of Hawaiian BBQ as a cuisine, not the restaurant itself. I highly recommend the katsu mix, which comes with 1 piece of short rib, katsu pieces, and a bunch of BBQ beef. It's rare for these restaurants to include short rib and katsu in a single dish without having to custom order, with some HBBQ not even offering custom orders at all to achieve this combo (cough Ono)... This restaurant delivers what it promises and doesn't sacrifice its identity to appease uncultured folks. Portions are also humongous. I usually devour HBBQ in one sitting, but I had to split this one into two meals. I'll be adding it to my regular dining options.

Food was really great got 2 mix and match plates with Katsu chicken, short ribs, bbq chicken and pineapple chicken. The short ribs were amazing and the Katsu chicken was really crunchy and delicious. The macaroni salad and steamed rice were a perfect side. The food took about 15 minutes to make but was worth the wait. The cashier was nice and explained the half and half and mini plate options. The sauces were also really delicious.

I stumbled across this restaurant on Door Dash and thought, what the hell, let's order something! I ordered the 2 item combo plate with BBQ Beef & BBQ Pork, rice and Mac salad. 3 extra scoops of the Mac Salad. Literally my favorite from most Hawaiian BBQ joints! Let me tell you how much I love their recipe! It is OUTSTANDING! I loved it so much that I got it 4 days in a row! My family LOVES the food here! I can't say anything negative! If you are thinking about what sounds good for breakfast, lunch or dinner....maybe even second dinner, order from Young Hawaiian BBQ! You will not regret it! Matter of fact, I'm gonna order the Mac Salad right now!

Highly recommended. Service was great, Best Chicken Teriyaki ever. Best Beef ribs ever too. Moods around restaurant are good either.

Came in and was greeted by staff at the register, a very friendly woman. Ordered two two item combos and chicken potstickers. The tea machine was out of order but they have other drinks available. The food was quick to come out, maybe less than ten minutes, and it was delicious. It feels like a hole in the wall Ono Hawaiian with more options, and more authentic taste. You can see the chef cooking behind the counter. Overall great vibes and food.

When I walked in, I was pleasantly greeted. My food was cooked fresh to order (keep this in mind if you see people complain about wait times- freshly cooked meat is not instant) and it came out HOT! The food was tasty, the portion sizes were generous, and I watched the cashier greet each customer and saw she was familiar with many of them. In their down time, the staff was cleaning and keeping the place spotless. The pricing was spot on for what I ordered. Well deserving of the 5 star rating.
